Stig-Arne Mårtensson, owner and founder of TiksPac AB, moved from the big city to the idyllic small community of Falkenberg in 2001.
While taking walks with his dog Smilla, he soon discovered that many people were not picking up after their dogs – a first impression that was not especially positive.

He wanted to do something about the problem and came upon a solution.
His concept was the TiksPac-Station, a dispenser station for dogs wastebags that were placed along popular public walkways in Falkenberg.
The concept is free for municipalities but they are responsible for ensuring that there are always bags available at each TiksPac-Station.

The TiksPac-Stations with the associated dogs wastebags are financed by those businesses who choose to participate with their logotypes on signs, and in this way, support efforts to improve the local environment while gaining environmental credibility.

Since the launch of the TiksPac-Stations, municipality after municipality have adopted the concept. To date, more than 150 municipalities have signed agreements.

The company started on a small scale but a lot has happened since then, and the TiksPac- concept has been constantly renewed and improved. TiksPac now works, for example, exclusively with environmentally friendly dogs wastebag. In the beginning, black plastic bags were used.

Environmental awareness has generally increased in society and hopefully, the trend will continue.
